Dynamic Allocation and Pricing is at the intersection of Economics and Operations Research and studies complex dynamic environments where both supply and demand change over time – for example the sale of tickets on a forthcoming flight abroad. It describes mechanisms for revenue management using the tools of mechanism design, an economic theory with lots of real life applications.
